Looking for fresh, island-grown flowers? You’ve come to the right place! I sell at the Saturday Charlottetown Farmers’ Market July-October, take individual orders by phone and email for pickup or delivery, and provide a growing community of individuals and businesses with weekly bouquets of preordered flowers (known as a CSA).
What is a CSA Bouquet?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. The idea behind a CSA is that you purchase a set number of weeks of flowers in advance and receive a share of my harvest. Investing ahead of time allows me to invest in seeds, compost and all the other inputs that guarantee that you will get to enjoy a variety of the most unique varieties of fresh and beautiful PEI-grown flowers through the upcoming growing season. When the weather warms up and things begin to bloom you know you can look forward to receiving a fresh bouquet of locally grown flowers every week to brighten up your home or office! I am no doubt biased, but a gorgeous bouquet of flowers on your table or desk is a guaranteed smile every time you look at them!
I offer both 5 and 10 week subscription options, and am happy to have you space pickup out over the summer or pick up your bouquets every week for the total number of weeks. Going on vacation for a week or two? Just let me know in advance and you can put your bouquet on hold for a week or gift your bouquets to a friend while you’re away. You have options! I have traditionally arranged my CSA bouquets in re-usable mason jars to reduce waste, but in 2019 I will also be offering brown paper sleeves if that is more convenient for you. Your weekly bouquet can be picked up from my home studio in Charlottetown on one of my pickup days (details will go out by email, but this is generally Tuesdays and Thursdays) or from my booth at the Saturday Charlottetown Farmers’ Market. This reduces the cost of delivery and makes sure that your flowers are in excellent condition when you receive them. If you take care of your bouquet by snipping the ends of the stems and changing the water in your vase every couple of days your bouquet should last 7-10 days.
This season I have two Community Supported Agriculture membership options in addition to individual bouquet orders, which I take on an ongoing basis:
